July 3rd 2010 marks the tenth anniversary of the start of trading for Islay Studios.
To celebrate this we are holding a weekend of special events, these include two "understanding your Digital SLR camera" courses out on location on the island (Fri/Sun) 2nd & 4th July.
On Saturday 3rd July there will be extra exhibition space in the gallery with demonstrations by An Glean Tablet and local artist Justin Ruthven Tyers.
Throughout the day there will be a wine tasting session conducted by Leonie Wood of the Wine Shop in Leek with a masterclass by her in the evening, pre booking for this event is highly recommended.

New Gallery Now Open in Islay House Square, Bridgend.

Islay,Past & Present is produced by Mark Unsworth using original glass plates from the Museum of Islay Life and photographing the same scene today showing the comparison over 100 years. The changes range from very little to the dramatic and makes a fascinating read.
